This is the official website of the South African composer Keith Moss.  After winning the SAMRO Overseas Scholarship in 2010 Keith firmly established himself as a leading exponent of new music in the country.  Concentrating on projects like the Paz Consort he also championed the works of other young composers.  His output ranges from chamber to orchestral works some of which have drawn the attention of other competitions and commissioners.

In the year 2010 Keith won the prestigious SAMRO scholarship and used it to study further in the United Kingdom, attending master classes at the Royal College of Music, the Royal Northern College, University of Cardiff as well as presenting at the Guildhall school of Music.  He has been the recipient of the First prize in the Stefans Grové competition twice in the years 2012 and 2016 as well as a participating composer in the CNC 2015.  Keith presented new work in the 2016 Johannesburg International Music Festival and for seven years directed the Paz Consort, a new music ensemble committed to the performance of contemporary South African works by young composers

As a conductor Keith directed the Paz Consort for 7 years premiering the works of young South African composers.  This later led to the directorship of music for the Cool Capital Biennale 2014 where he established the Capital Chamber Orchestras as well as the Capital Symphony Orchestra

Arranging requests have ranged from large orchestral scores and chamber pieces to lighter music items for large shows and recordings.  Keith has worked on various long term projects like Afrikaans is Groot, Gospel Skouspel, The University of Pretoria and the University of the Freestate
